One of our favorite Christmas ornaments is the glass pickle. Legend says that each family should hide a glass pickle ornament on their tree. As the children come down Christmas morning, they search the tree for the ornament and the first one who finds it receives an extra gift. This encourages the kids to first marvel at the beauty of the tree before ripping into the presents. To go along with the theme, we made our own ‘pickle jars’ with custom labels and illustrated ourselves into individual gherkins!
